My Story

Hi, I’m Loulou, mum, certified paediatric sleep coach and founder of Loulou Baby.

When my son was born prematurely due to pre-eclampsia, sleep felt like a distant dream. He was tiny, fragile and needed frequent feeds because of his small stomach. The only place he’d sleep was on my chest, so I spent countless nights lying awake in bed with him on me, afraid to move in case he woke.

Those early months were incredibly hard but full of love too. My husband worked away a lot, so I was on my own most nights, juggling everything and just trying to keep us both afloat. He would only contact nap during the day, and while I adored having him close, I was completely drained.

When I went back to work part-time when he was six months old, I knew something had to change. I needed sleep to be my best self for my son, my job and my relationship.

So I learned everything I could about baby sleep. Once we introduced gentle, consistent routines, he took to it straight away and it changed everything. I stopped going to bed every night feeling completely anxious about being up every hour. I felt calmer, lighter and finally had my evenings to myself to feel more human again. He became happier too, always smiling and babbling. At 18 months old, he runs to his cot every night at bedtime because he loves sleep so much.

That transformation made me completely obsessed with helping other families find the same peace. Through Loulou Baby, I support parents with gentle, evidence-based methods that actually work in real life because when your baby sleeps well, everyone does.
